With 2019 ending, we can’t help but look back at this year and observe all of the unique and wonderful hairstyles that our favorite male celebrities have introduced to us.  At Don Juan Pomade, we enjoy checking out the new hairstyle trends for men, and we’re up to the task for figuring out how to replicate them with our signature pomade products.

If you’re interested in trying out a new hairstyle using one of our pomades, you’ve come to the right place.  We’ve ranked our five favorite men’s hairstyles of the last year, and have come up with simple ways in which you can use our pomade to achieve them yourself.

#5: Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake has gone from teenybopper to the epitome of men’s style over the decade, and we think that he’s entering the new decade with a super refined, mature yet stylish look.  Timberlake has been proudly rocking the front poof for a while, and it really compliments him well.  Timberlake’s natural hair is thick and curly, which is why smoothing it down with some pomade really helps accentuate his natural volume.

At the moment, he’s rocking a side part and a low fade, and doing a nice, tapered poof at the front.  If you want to try out this style, first grab some pomade and comb it evenly through your hair.  Then, comb a nice side part, and sweep the front across the back, toward the crown, brushing slightly upward along the way.

#4: Zayn Malik

Bad boy Zayn Malik’s hairstyle really shows off his personality and is great for guys who are going for a more youthful look.  Right now, he’s working the controlled bedhead look perfectly, and we are more than here for it.  Of course, the thing about this slightly unkempt look is that it requires more effort than one would think on first inspection.  Luckily, our pomade can help you pull it off with ease.

To do this look, you need a decent amount of length at the top, and you have to keep the sides pretty short.  Now, rub a decent amount of pomade between your palms, and begin combing it into your hair using your fingers.  Now, using your fingers, comb and twist sections straight up, making sure it never looks too intentional.

#3: Leonardo Dicaprio

Leo has transformed from teen idol to mature artist before our eyes, and we have to hand it to him.  These days, his hair reflects his maturity, while bringing us back to the golden age of Hollywood.  He’s currently pulling off a pretty deep side part and slicking it back neatly so that not a hair looks out of place.

Want to try this look out?  Use your comb to make a deep side part, and then comb your hair straight back toward the crown.  Now, apply some pomade to your hands and smooth the hair down carefully.

#2: Brad Pitt

For a while, Brad Pitt was letting it grow and grow, but now he’s going for a trendier look that we absolutely love.  He’s combining a timely undercut with a slicked back style, which is the perfect balance between rebel and Hollywood gentleman.

This look requires that you go to a barber, as an undercut is difficult to create if you’re not experienced.  Make sure that you keep the front and top fairly long.  Then, take your pomade and smooth the hair straight back toward the crown, finishing it off with a comb to make sure that everything is nice and smooth.

#1: David Beckham

Beckham’s hair has always been on point, hasn’t it?  Now, he’s slicking things back but creating some nice volume up front, while putting an emphasis on texture.  Luckily for you, this look is very easy to pull off, and widely considered to be universally flattering.

First, you want to make sure the front and top are long, and the sides are short.  Now, simply apply pomade to the front of the hair, and use a comb to push it backward.  Then, take your comb and comb the bang portion straight up in the air.  Bear in mind that this look works best on men with thick hair.  If your hair is naturally fine, you may need some spray to make sure that everything really stays in place.

Grab Some Pomade and You’re Good to Go!
